# Integrations Service (Backend)

The Integrations Service is a dedicated microservice responsible for securely managing all third-party integrations. This includes handling authentication, orchestrating data synchronization, and processing real-time events from external platforms.

### Key Responsibilities

* **OAuth Manager:** Facilitates secure authentication and token exchange with various external platforms, ensuring seamless and protected connections.
* **Data Sync Workers:** Manages background processes that efficiently pull and process large datasets from integrated services, ensuring our core applications remain responsive and up-to-date.
* **Webhook Gateway:** Provides secure, high-throughput endpoints for receiving and processing real-time events from connected platforms, enabling instant updates within Nomad AI.
